How many words can a translator translate per day, on average?
This varies depending on the difficulty of the text and the type of file, but about 2,500 words per day is the average.

I've got a big volume to be translated, but a very short deadline.
We don't have a problem with this, we can set up a team of translators who specialise in your field and who will be supervised by a Project Manager, responsible for creating a glossary of recurrent terms so as to harmonise the terminology. The translators will work closely with each other and with the Project Manager to provide you with the best possible translation quality.

Can an English translator who knows French translate a document from English to French?
Some unscrupulous agencies give work to translators whose native language is other than the target language, but Tradestar has never done that and will never do that. Although a translator may understand and speak a foreign language perfectly, he or she will never be able to master the nuances of that language, and this will be evident in the translation.

Can I be sure that my next documents will be translated by the same translator?
To ensure that the terminology used is the same as that used previously, we will use the same translator.

I've got some documents to be translated, but the content is strictly confidential. What do I do?
Professional secrecy is observed by all our translators. For additional security, we can confirm this in a document duly signed between your company and Tradestar. We will make the same contract with our translator or translators who is/are responsible for the translation of your text.

Our approach

1. We receive your request for quote by e-mail, telephone or fax.

2. One of our Project Managers forwards you a quote within the same day.

3. If you accept our quote, the signed quote is forwarded to us by fax or e-mail, marked "OK for acceptance".

4. We acknowledge receipt of your order and commence the translation. After having examined the document to be translated, we transmit the project to a specialised translator in the chosen field.

5. If there is the slightest doubt or question, the translator will convey these to our Project Manager who will forward them to the client for clarification.

6. The translation is re-read after having been proof-read by the original translator in order to guarantee that the document remains faithful to the original text as well as ensuring quality.

7. We deliver the translation in your required format by e-mail or post.

8. The invoice will be sent to you either by e-mail or post as per your request.

Interpreting services

For your conferences, business meetings, international shows, factory and company visits, negotiations, contract signing, seminars, technical training, etc. Tradestar can supply interpreters - simultaneous or consecutive.This means that you can conduct your business easily, with no language barrier.

According to your needs, we define together the most adapted formula:

Liaison interpreting

The interpreter relays sentence by sentence the speakers' words. This method is ideal during business negotiations.

Consecutive interpreting

The interpreter takes notes of the speakers' discourse during meetings and after translates and summarises them.

Simultaneous interpreting

Conferences where interpreters use cabins for simultaneous interpreting require two interpreters per language. Each works for 20 minutes at a time and then hands over to the other, a system which is essential for correct simultaneous interpreting.

We can also take care of providing logistic support for simultaneous conference work (rental and installation of interpreting equipment, headphones, microphones, etc), using a team of specialised technicians.
